Come celebrate the Talents of these Captains and Crews,
while raising funds to support Greenbriar Children's Center!
Join us… One and ALL… Saturday, November 30th, 2024 for the 23rd Annual FREE Savannah Boat Parade of Lights FUNDRAISER. This 20plus year tradition has been enjoyed by generations of locals and visitors alike. The Savannah Boat Parade of Lights has also been a great benefit to the charities it has contributed to!
This year we are partnering with Greenbriar Children’s Center, an amazing organization which has been helping children and their families, in need, in Savannah since 1949! We will be donating proceeds raised by the parade to Greenbriar.
The Parade of Lights, led by the Georgia Queen Riverboat, will begin its voyage from The Dock at Eastern Wharf, in front of the Thompson Savannah Hotel, Our Premier Sponsor. After leaving the dock, the captains will circle past the Convention Center to the Talmadge Bridge...continue down the Savannah River past Plant Riverside District, along River Street, slowly passing the panel of judges at the Dock at Eastern Wharf, where their history and information will be announced ... And... Repeat the circle... ending back at the Eastern Wharf Dock.
The Park at Eastern Wharf is planning a wonderful event to coincide with the festivities of the parade! Directly following the event, please join the Official Parade Afterparty at the beautiful Thompson Savannah Hotel.
Enjoy the Crafty, Fun, Creative, Whimsically decorated vessels that these Captains and their Crews work so diligently on! Cheer them on as they volunteer their time and efforts to ring in the Holiday Season!
This event is presented completely by volunteers… NO proceeds will be used to pay anyone for their services or participation.
Please let us know how you can help, or how we can answer any questions… by contacting delylah Thompson, Parade Chair, at SavBoatParade@gmail.com.
ALL donations, big and small, will be Accepted, Appreciated, and Acknowledged… Thank you for your support to make certain this Savannah fundraising tradition thrives.

Thank You!!!
What an exciting time for some talented SCAD Students!
Join us in our Third Annual Contest to decide the “Chosen” Design to be used on the 2024 Savannah Boat Parade of Lights “Parade T-Shirts”!
World renowned, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Students, have graciously volunteered 10 designs to choose from this year!!! Making this our largest contest so far! The choice will be hard, so, feel free to Donate-to-Vote for several designs if you want!
YOU… will be helping to choose the final design!!!
The designs have been submitted… And… For a mere DOLLAR PER VOTE, you can help determine the Design to be used on this year’s Parade T-Shirts! The proceeds from this Donate-to-Vote Contest will again go directly to Greenbriar Children’s Center, a wonderful organization that has supported children and their families in the Savannah area for over 75 years!
This is a great opportunity for these student’s designs to be seen by thousands of people, while supporting this local fundraising tradition! This is surely a very proud time for all participants, their families, and friends!
It’s also a wonderful way to donate on a smaller scale, or teach your children that you don’t have to have a lot to share, to support others in need! Every small bit can add up to a large blessing.
Let the VOTING begin!!! Check back often to “bump” up your favorite design if you need to!
